It is very inconvenient for pedestrians to get around in North Oakville since almost no daily errands can be run without the use of a car. The bike is a fairly poor mode of transportation in North Oakville because there are very few bike lanes, and there are a good number of slopes.

This part of the town does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Furthermore, daycares are not abundant and accordingly tend to require a very long walk to get to.
