This part of the city is very car friendly. It is a reasonably short drive to the closest highway from any home in this neighbourhood, and it is very easy to find a place to park. However, getting around by public transit is occasionally challenging in this part of the city. Thankfully, there is Hwy 7 / Wootten and Hwy 7 / Main Markham with access to the purple | VIVA PURPLE. The neighbourhood is linked by around 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most houses. Markham Village is not particularly conducive to biking because there are a fair number of elevation changes, and the cycling infrastructure is not very well-developed. There also aren't many pedestrians out on the streets of Markham Village, even though most day-to-day needs are convenient to carry out by walking.

Daycares and schools are easy to reach on foot from anywhere in this neighbourhood. With respect to food, a grocery store is ordinarily accessible within a rather short walk from any location in this area. There are also a limited number of choices for those who care about restaurants in close proximity.

Parks are very well-distributed and there are a few of them close by for residents to visit, making it easy to access them. This area is very quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.
