As far as education is concerned, families will value that no matter where their property is located in Saint-Jean, primary schools and daycares are close by. In contrast, high schools are not very plentiful and consequently tend to require an extended walk to get to.

Saint-Jean is fairly good for those who prefer quiet areas, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although that is not the case closer to one of the railway lines, Autoroute de la Vallée-des-Forts or the airport (YJN).
