Whitby is very car friendly. It is straightforward to come across a place to park. On the other hand, Whitby is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, commuters benefit from the Whitby Station with access to the Lakeshore East Line. The town is linked by approximately 10 bus lines, and most properties are near a bus stop. Walking is not very practical for house buyers in Whitby since running daily errands is occasionally difficult on foot.

Daycares and primary schools are easy to get to on foot from any location in Whitby. However, high schools are not particularly abundant and accordingly tend to require an extended walk to get to.
