The favoured method to get around in this township is very often a car. It is very easy to park. Most homes for sale in this township are located in places that are not very well-suited for walking since almost no common errands can be run on foot.

There are only a very small number of primary schools in this township and accordingly they can be a very long walk away. Moreover, Tay does not contain any high schools. Character
Tay is reasonably good for those who need quiet surroundings, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although there are still several noisier sections, especially near Highway 12 or Highway 400 & 12.
