In contrast, the public transit service in this area is not very frequent. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. This part of the city is not especially suitable for walking since few common errands can be run without having to use a vehicle.

It is convenient to access the nearest supermarket on foot in Cowan Heights. A limited selection of restaurants and cafes can be found as well. With respect to education, families will welcome the proximity to daycares and primary schools, which are within walking distance from the majority of houses for sale in Cowan Heights.
