Transportation
Driving is an excellent transportation option in this municipality. It is especially convenient to come across a place to park, and nearby highways, such as Highway 99, are quite easy to reach from anywhere in West Vancouver. However, this municipality is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, homeowners are served by about 10 bus lines, and it is straightforward to find a nearby bus stop from most residences. Travelling by bicycle is very hard in West Vancouver as the cycling network is not very well-developed, and there is a considerable amount of hills. Travelling on foot is also not very convenient for property owners in West Vancouver because very few daily needs can be carried out by walking.
Services
Some, but not all, house buyers in West Vancouver will live within walking distance of one of around 10 supermarkets. Residents are served by over 50 restaurants and cafes as well. With respect to education, families will welcome that no matter where their home is situated in West Vancouver, primary schools are close by. However, high schools are not very plentiful and consequently tend to require an extended walk to get to. There are highly ranked elementary and secondary schools, including Collingwood School, in West Vancouver.
Character
West Vancouver offers a calm ambience and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time in green spaces. The noise levels in this municipality are reasonably low, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case closer to Highway 99, Trans-Canada Highway or the railway line. Lastly, parks are very easy to access, since many homes have one around the corner and there are over 250 public green spaces nearby for residents to relax in.
