In contrast, the public transit network in Deer Ridge is not very accessible. It is very hard to move around by bicycle in this neighbourhood since there is a considerable amount of elevation changes. Deer Ridge is also not very suitable for walking because very few daily errands can be run on foot.

It is a very short walk to access both primary and secondary schools from most houses for sale in Deer Ridge. In contrast, there are only a very small number of daycares and consequently they can be a very long walk away. When it comes to eating, it is very rarely feasible for property owners in Deer Ridge to buy their groceries on foot.

The character of Deer Ridge is exemplified by its calm ambience. This area is quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case close to Trans-Canada Highway.
