Marpole presents homeowners with several alternative methods of transportation. With 2 rapid transit stations (Marine Drive Station Platform 1 and Marine Drive Station Platform 2) with access to the Canada Line Skytrain, and a few nearby bus lines, Marpole is a fairly pleasant part of Vancouver for travelling by public transit. This part of the city will also draw active home buyers since it is suitable for walking; many common errands can be run without the use of a car, and numerous businesses are quite close by. Biking is convenient in this part of the city as the cycling network is very extensive.

Daycares and schools are convenient to walk to from anywhere in Marpole. As far as food is concerned, it is easy to reach both a general and a specialty grocery store by walking from most houses for sale in this part of Vancouver. Furthermore, there are a fair number of options in close proximity for those who care about restaurants and cafes. A good choice of clothing stores is also available within a reasonably short walking distance.
Character
Marpole is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. This part of Vancouver is quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although there are still several louder areas, especially near the railway line. Lastly, parks are very well-distributed and there are about 10 of them nearby for residents to discover, making it very easy to reach them.
