For instance, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most properties. Active house buyers will also appreciate the walk-friendly character of St. Andrew; many daily errands can be run without the use of a car. St. Andrew is not very suited for cycling since there is a significant amount of slopes, and St. Andrew has a rather limited bicycling infrastructure.

Moreover, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a good number of choices, and a limited selection of coffee shops can be found as well. St. Andrew is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a calm ambience. Greenery is very prominent in this part of the city as there are numerous tree-lined streets. There are about 10 parks close by for residents to explore, like Windfields Park and Rosedale Golf Club, making them very easy to reach from most locations within St. Andrew. This part of the city is reasonably quiet overall, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case around Highway 401.
