This area is also a fairly pleasant part of Toronto for pedestrians; many common errands can be run without having to use a vehicle. Travelling by bicycle is challenging in Mimico because the cycling infrastructure is not very extensive, and there are a good number of elevation changes.

This area is also reasonably good for those who enjoy quiet surroundings, as the streets tend to be quite calm - although that is not the case closer to the railway line or F G Gardiner Expressway.
