Regardless of the medium of transportation, it is quite simple to get around in Cascade-Schou. The public transit service in this area is good thanks to a few nearby bus lines. Cascade-Schou is also a fairly pleasant part of Burnaby for pedestrians; carrying out daily needs is easy on foot, and plenty of businesses are quite nearby. Cascade-Schou is not very bike-friendly because there are a limited number of bike lanes, and travelling by bicycle is rendered difficult by the often hilly terrain.

This part of Burnaby is also quiet, as the streets are usually peaceful - however some areas can be quite loud, especially near Trans-Canada Highway.
