Professional Experience

As a Real Estate professional for nearly 40 years, I am able to offer you not only my wealth of experience but my up to date knowledge in guiding you through the buying and selling process. Starting in Real Estate in the Greater Toronto area in the 1970’s, and relocating first to London Ontario and then in 1991 making my final home Ottawa. I am passionate about my Profession and contribute to it by volunteering. I volunteered as a Director on the Ontario Real Estate Board as well as work on Committees supporting our industry, whether it be locally or nationally. I have been involved in lobbying the federal government to increase the withdrawal limit on the RRSP home buyer’s plan, increasing the withdrawal limit. This is just one of the endeavors that as a volunteer to Organized Real Estate I am able to say assists future home buyers and sellers in achieving their dreams. I have an intimate understanding of what is involved both emotionally, physically, and financially in a move! Over my career I have relocated and built my business, my home and my social network in 3 major cities. I get what’s involved in this process! Through my involvement in Organized Real Estate I have developed strong relationships with other professionals across the country. I also believe in giving back to the community and many local charities and I am a Board member and the Current Chair of the OutCare Foundation. We raise funds for palliative care in our community. There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional – integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which are hallmarks of how I work. That said, in my experience as an Ottawa real estate professional, I’ve also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs. This “client first” philosophy has always been my approach and it requires me to continually improve my skills and ways of doing business. In addition, I’ve found that the latest technologies are enabling me to do everything I’ve always done, only much more quickly and efficiently.
