Professional Experience
Corey is trained as a visual artist and completed Memorial University of Newfoundland's Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2002. Since graduation he has been actively involved in the local arts community volunteering on the Board of Directors at artist-run-galleries in St. John's. For more than 14 years Corey has worked with the public in art galleries at the University, Provincial and not-for-profit level as director, exhibition technician and art collections manager. While at The Rooms Provincial Art Gallery he worked with hundreds of artists, gallery dealers and art collectors from all over the province as well as top level government executives in the distribution of artworks in public buildings around the province. Corey has a passion for historical residential architecture in Newfoundland and Labrador and has experience and a keen interest in renovating old St. John's homes. Coming from a family immersed in the construction industry he has also gained invaluable knowledge of new home building.
