It is very easy to access a parking spot, and it is a short drive to the closest highway, such as Autoroute Charest, from any home in this area. In contrast, commuting by public transit is difficult in this borough. Nonetheless, homeowners have access to over 50 bus lines, and bus stops are generally nearby. Even though a few bicycling-friendly areas can be found, it is at times challenging to travel by bike in Les Rivières as there is a considerable amount of elevation changes, and there are a limited number of bike lanes. There are also relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this borough, despite the fact that meeting daily needs is convenient.

This area is also reasonably good for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - however some parts can be quite noisy, especially near Autoroute Laurentienne, Autoroute Charest or one of the railway lines.
