His deep roots in the community date back to the mid-1800s when his family settled in Oakville and owned the Mattlat Tannery Company—one of the town’s largest businesses at the turn of the century. Before entering real estate, Duncan built a successful coaching career with the Oakville Blades, leading one of the only minor hockey teams from Oakville to win the prestigious OHL Cup.
