Melissa Lavorata’s journey into real estate didn’t start with a “For Sale” sign—it started with her roots. Born and raised in Cooksville, Melissa grew up immersed in a close-knit community where everyone knew your name and character mattered. She went to St. Timothy’s Elementary and St. Martin’s High School, swam in the local pools, and taught hundreds of kids how to stay safe in the water. For 8 years, she led with patience and discipline as a swimming and first aid instructor - an early glimpse of her ability to educate, support, and lead. She later brought that same energy to Port Credit’s fast-paced hospitality scene, where she worked in customer service for 5 years, learning how to stay calm under pressure, anticipate people’s needs, and build strong, trust-based relationships with everyone she served. Driven by a love of business and a curious mind, Melissa earned an Honors BacheloR's Degree In Business Law and Finance from Toronto Metropolitan University. This blend of education and hands-on life experience now fuels her unique real estate approach - analytical, creative, deeply human, and always rooted in doing what’s right. Clients often describe her as someone who “just gets it.” She’s savvy and informed, but approachable. Sharp with numbers and contracts but always focused on people first.
