My first job in Waterloo region was at The Record, our local daily newspaper, where I worked as an Account Executive selling print advertising to local real estate agents. That was back in 2006. A lot of things have changed in the real estate industry since then, but one thing that stood out to me was that the agents who branded themselves well and stayed the course (and didn’t keep switching things up every few weeks), were the most successful. Prior to my job at The Record, I had over 15 years of previous sales experience in a variety of industries. I sold auto insurance at Geico and State Farm. I sold group travel experiences to interesting international destinations at an educational travel company. I even sold bowling pins at Brunswick Corporation. When you’re a people person who is self-motivated, you can sell just about anything (both products and services) to just about anyone! While working at The Record, I took the first steps in getting my real estate licensing, and I officially started my real estate career in 2009. About 3 years later, my husband, Roger, joined me and we launched our husband-and-wife team “The Red Carpet Crew”. A few years after that, I obtained my Brokers license, and then in 2024 I graduated from Conestoga College as an Interior Decorator. Staging the majority of our listings has become a creative outlet for me that has resulted into a more successful experience for our seller clients (i.e., lower days on market and a higher sales price). Personal interests and passions are traveling, singing, writing, making people laugh, making people think about deeper things, decorating, cooking and spending time with my dear friends and family. I love what I do, and enjoy working with Roger to help our buyers and sellers to achieve their real estate goals. The different services that we offer our clients is a big part of why our results have been so steady and solid for over 15 years now.
