Jody knows that moving is a big step in anyone’s life, and the process can seem daunting for even the most experienced buyer or seller. Growing up, she was no stranger to moving; her family averaged one cross-country move every two years, including Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario and BC. She got so used to moving that she saved up for her first condo in downtown Toronto at age 20, and then bought and sold 5 more properties over the next 10 years. Before her years of experience as a trusted REALTOR®, Jody started her career in Toronto in the Banking Industry. While working her way through the corporate ranks, she was able to gain a wealth of knowledge in not only Retail Banking but also Credit Cards, Investment Banking, Securities and Asset Management. After moving West, Jody was then able to learn about the financing side of real estate, as she held a leadership position supporting the Bank's Western Canadian Real Estate Secured Lending division. She then gained additional leadership experience and knowledge of the legal side of Real Estate, while working as a manager in the Legal Industry. Through her corporate career, Jody not only dealt with her own relocations, she also supported RCMP transfers, and numerous moves for Banking employees. This gave her even more insight into the relocation process, as well as the potential hurdles. This first-hand experience, paired with her empathetic nature helps to ensure you've got a trusted partner in your corner through the entire moving process. Another one of Jody's passions is fitness, and professional fitness competitions. As an international pro fitness competitor, her strict workout programs and contest preparations require her to have focus, attention to detail and energy, which she then channels into her real estate business. She is extremely driven, goal-oriented and possesses the ability to remain focused until she achieves her goals. Imagine what she can do for you! Kindness and compassion is extremely important to Jody. She has volunteered with Big Sisters of Canada, and had her own "little sister." She has also volunteered with the "Take a Hike" Foundation for At-Risk Youth, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Boat for Hope, the Economics of Staying in School the Great Canadian Shoreline clean-up and helped serve meals to the homeless in Vancouver's downtown east side.
