Royal LePage® wins silver at the SQPRP Gala for its 2023 Winter Recreational Property Report

MONTREAL, MONDAY, JUNE 3, 2024 – Royal LePage is proud to announce that it was awarded a Silver Award on May 29th at the prestigious Gala 2024 of the Société québécoise des professionnel.les en relations publiques (SQPRP) for its 2023 Winter Recreational Property Report, as part of the strategic component – external public relations program. This recognition highlights Royal LePage’s excellence in communications and market analysis. Royal LePage is the only real estate firm to have earned recognition in this contest.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a growing demand for in the recreational property market. In this context, Royal LePage seized the opportunity to raise its profile and inform the media and consumers by publishing the 2023 Winter Recreational Property Report, which offers a detailed and hyperlocalized portrait of price and sales trends, by property type, among Quebec’s 10 most popular ski regions. The public relations campaign attracted considerable media attention, with a total of 70 articles and reports published in November 2023, generating nearly 100 million media impressions – a record for this annual study. Many of Quebec’s leading media outlets covered the story, as did a long list of regional media.

The report’s success is due to its ability to provide increased visibility for Quebec’s regional real estate markets, including those that typically receive lower media coverage. Statistical data on property prices and sales in the main markets surrounding Quebec’s ski resorts were gathered through Centris, and price forecasts were produced for each market. A provincial overview completed the analysis, providing an overview of current and future trends.

The media coverage and performance indicators of all communication tools greatly contributed to reinforcing Royal LePage’s positive reputation, both with the general public and the industry, positioning the brand as an insightful and credible player in the recreational real estate sector.  The process also allowed Royal LePage to stress the added value of having a real estate broker involved in a recreational real estate transaction, so as to be aware of the specifics of zoning, septic installations, short-term rentals and more.

“We are honored to receive this distinction from the SQPRP,” said Roseline Joyal-Guillot, Director, Marketing and Communications, Royal LePage. “Every year, Royal LePage publishes more than twenty market reports on a variety of real estate-related topics. This award recognizes our commitment to providing relevant and reliable information on the Quebec real estate market so that consumers can make informed choices. This report would not have been as successful without the input of our many regional experts, who contributed extensively to the analysis and enhanced the report by granting dozens of media interviews in their respective markets.”
