Navigating the ever-changing real estate landscape in London can be extremely daunting—especially during the past 12 months when inventory has been limited and prices have been rising dramatically. Without the guidance of a reliable realtor, buyers and sellers alike can make mistakes that may incur considerable costs. Brian Traboulay, Real Estate Broker with London’s Royal LePage Triland Brokerage, has been rapidly growing his business over the past few years amid these rapid market developments. Brian was born and raised in the Caribbean, on the island of Trinidad. He moved to Vancouver, BC to attend high school, and continued on to post-secondary education graduating with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Organic Chemistry. He also obtained his MBA (Masters Degree in Business Administration) before starting a successful, 25-year career in sales, most of which were in the life insurance industry, contracted by with American Income Life Insurance, (AIL)—an international company recognized as #25 in the Forbes Top 50 listings. After achieving Executive Status within AIL, and earning the distinction of the prestigious Executive Council of AIL as one of the top agency owners in North America, Brian had reached a pinnacle in his career, and was prepared to take on a new challenge. With a long-time passion for real estate, and an interest in both design and architecture, he moved from his successful career climbing the corporate ladder to become one of London’s top grossing Real Estate Brokers. In 2019, Brian was awarded the President’s Gold Award, in 2020, the Director’s Platinum Award , and Diamond in 2021 and 2022. He is also a member of the Top Tier in Royal LePage.  Brian’s focus and drive have allowed him to excel in this career. “One of the most important things for me, and what I find clients really appreciate, is that I complete thorough and in-depth research before listing a property. It does take a lot of time, however, I just hunker down and do the proper research, with relevant comparables, to advise on the appropriate listing price of their home,” explains Brian. While completing his MBA, Brian learned many valuable lessons that transferred not only to the corporate world, but also contributed to his career in real estate. “In one of our classes, we were taught to break down information and convey our messages in understandable terms,” explains Brian. All too often, and across many industries, messaging by professionals can get caught up in technical terms and lead to both frustration and confusion by the client, so this professional ensures that his information and property research is clear and concise. Both in his previous corporate experience and his current career in real estate, Brian has developed an effective working philosophy applicable to all clients. “It is always important to make people feel comfortable in their own skin,” he explains. “At the end of the day, people care about how you make them feel, and for that, they respect you and will in turn refer others to you.” And when working in an industry that can involve a multitude of layered emotions, connecting with clients on this personal level can only be beneficial. Outside of his work life, Brian—a proud father of three and husband to Nicole— enjoys a very active lifestyle. With travels to over 40 countries, he has also developed an appreciation for various world cultures, and their architecture and design. He and his family have built strong relationships with a number of charitable organizations, and actively donate to Casa Hogar Orphanage (Cabo San Lucas, Mexico), The London Food Bank, Anova, Ernestine Women’s Shelter (Toronto), and Meals on Wheels London. His community commitment and the impact it creates, enhances Brian’s connection to the people he serves. If you are contemplating selling your home in this highly electric market, or are ready to jump in and find the perfect new home in London, contacting Brian Traboulay will surely get you started on the right path.
