On the other hand, the bike is a fairly poor method of transportation in this part of Kitchener because this area has a quite bad bicycling infrastructure, and riding is made strenuous by the typically sloping terrain. Commuting by car is very convenient in Central Frederick. Parking is quite easy, and many real estate listings are a very short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 7. In contrast, commuting by public transit is sometimes difficult in this part of Kitchener. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop.

This part of Kitchener is quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case closer to Highway 85, Highway 7 or the railway line.
