This neighbourhood is a very good part of Fredericton for moving around by car. It is especially convenient to find a parking spot. Gilridge Estates is not very suitable for those who travel by foot because running daily errands is very inconvenient by walking.

In all but a very small number of cases, a car is needed to buy groceries. Regarding education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this neighbourhood. Furthermore, it can be very hard to reach daycares on foot.
Character
The character of Gilridge Estates is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. Although the neighbourhood does not contain any public green spaces, parks are very well-distributed in nearby neighbourhoods, making it easy to reach them. This area is very quiet overall, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.
