Sooke is a municipality situated in the Greater Victoria metropolitan area, which is part of British Columbia, Canada.

In Sooke, many dwellings are single detached homes, and the remainder are mainly townhouses. This municipality is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Around 80% of the properties in the municipality are occupied by homeowners whereas the remainder are rented. Roughly one third of homes in this municipality were constructed after the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s.

The favoured way to move around in Sooke is very often a car. It is especially convenient to park. However, commuting by transit can be difficult in this municipality by reason of the infrequent service. Thankfully, house owners have access to a few bus lines, and most homes are close to a bus stop. This municipality is not very suitable for those who travel by foot since almost no common errands can be run without having to resort to a vehicle.

High schools and primary schools are not particularly plentiful in Sooke, and accordingly tend to be a rather long walk away. Likewise, families may find it difficult for their schoolchildren to get to daycares on foot. As far as eating is concerned, accessing the nearest supermarket by walking is practical for some, but not all, house buyers in Sooke. A limited number of restaurants are available in Sooke as well.

Sooke is great for those who need quiet areas, as the streets are very calm.
